Marko is an engineering manager and software engineer with over 18 years of experience building reliable, high-performance backend systems. He currently leads the Search Platform team at Perplexity, working on search and its supporting infrastructure. Before joining Perplexity, he held engineering leadership roles at Bumble and Badoo.
An infrastructure engineer at heart, he enjoys understanding how things work, from software to hardware. His experience spans Go, Rust, C, and Python, with a strong focus on Linux systems programming.
