Nikola Kolevski
Nikola Kolevski is the Head of Engineering at Solflare, leading the teams building one of the leading self-custody wallets in the Solana ecosystem. He spends most of his time solving the practical challenges of scaling engineering organizations, introducing new technologies into production, and balancing rapid iteration with the demands of security and reliability in Web3.

Cheap Code, Expensive Decisions
AI has made code extraordinarily cheap to produce. Unfortunately, deciding what should exist, whether it works, and whether it is safe to ship remains stubbornly expensive. LLMs generate statistically plausible outputs from learned patterns; agents turn statistically plausible outputs into working outputs using tools and feedback loops, but ultimately humans must still define the objective, direct plans, and own the outcome. In this talk, Nikola goes over learnings from a year and a half of applying AI at Solflare both in development and product itself. The central argument is that generation is no longer the bottleneck. Comprehension, and accountability are. The teams that benefit most from AI will not be those that generate the most code, but those that integrate it into complete development lifecycles.
