With a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, I bring over six years of specialized experience in cybersecurity, focusing on the secure development lifecycle for large teams developing software for critical infrastructure. My journey began as a software engineer, where I honed my skills in building robust software solutions for critical infrastructure projects. In addition to my professional experience, I have a strong academic background, having served as a teaching assistant for six years at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Serbia. During this time, I taught courses on databases and algorithms, sharing my passion for technology and education with students.

This session explores how to build trust into software by embedding security across the entire development lifecycle. We’ll discuss what a shift‑left mindset looks like in practice and how security can become a natural part of everyday engineering workflows. The talk highlights how automated security tooling fits into modern CI/CD pipelines, enabling early detection of risks without slowing delivery. Beyond application security, we’ll examine the growing importance of software supply chain integrity. Attendees will be introduced to SLSA concepts, including build provenance and attestations, and how they strengthen confidence in released artifacts. The session connects secure development, automation, and provenance into a cohesive approach to trustworthy software delivery.
