Nemanja Mitić
For over two decades, I’ve been successfully convincing computers to do things, a journey that has left me with a healthy skepticism of “five-minute” installs and a finely-tuned ability to find the missing semicolon. My career has spanned a diverse range of data-driven industries, including automotive, fintech, ecommerce, adtech, and mediatech. A significant portion of my recent career—over the last decade—has been focused on designing, building, and maintaining complex systems on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Currently, I apply this experience at Rivian, contributing to the development of software for their innovative electric vehicle platform.
The Event-Driven Engine: Powering Rivian’s Vehicle Lifecycle from Factory to Driveway
Every physical Rivian has a dynamic digital twin; an event-based record that begins its life long before the vehicle is assembled and lasts through its entire lifecycle. This presentation will detail the architectural patterns used to ingest and process millions of events, from part scanning and assembly milestones to software updates and final delivery, to ensure a consistent and accurate digital history for every car.
